Our Team

b&d Energie- und Umwelttechnik GmbH was founded in 2016. As engineers specializing in sustainable process and environmental technology as well as energy and process engineering, we have several years of professional experience in executing projects with innovative technologies.

In our Energy and Environmental Technology business area, we initiate, manage, and execute projects in collaboration with funding agencies of federal ministries and stakeholders from industry and research to optimize facilities and monitor the efficiency and utilization of environmental and energy resources.

This operational area also includes the BFTS Biofilm Carrier division. Within our corporate group, we have been providing biofilm carriers for biological water and wastewater treatment using the moving bed biofilm reactor process in cooperation with planning offices for wastewater treatment for 12 years.

In the area of funding consultancy, we can demonstrate years of expertise in grant application and project administration in research. We support our clients in dialogue with social, political, and economic stakeholders in project management and funding acquisition.

Philipp Danz is an engineer specializing in energy technology, supply technology, and energy management. Mr. Danz can draw on extensive technical experience in the fields of geothermal energy, biomass utilization, plastics processing, and 3D printing. Mr. Danz heads the BFTS Biofilm Carrier division.

Ms. Behling holds a doctorate in environmental and energy technology in mechanical engineering. She has several years of professional experience in the field of renewable energy. Ms. Behling can demonstrate years of expertise in funding consultancy and project management. She is responsible for the application, supervision, and execution of research projects.
