Fuel technology
Test processing
The mechanical processing of solid fuels aims to adapt their characteristics to the requirements of the respective conversion processes. We offer trial comminution of solid biomass when a defined material structure is required for conversion into useful or final energy. In addition, we offer particle size sorting of bulk materials up to 10 m³, e.g. when foreign matter is to be separated, followed by briquetting and pelletising. The advantages of these processing methods include high volumetric energy density and the associated logistical benefits, favourable flow and metering properties, and high fuel homogeneity. Please note that processing can only be carried out on a trial basis and at pilot-plant scale. We work closely with the respective market leaders in the relevant processing technology.
Thermal conversion
Together with accredited laboratories and in cooperation with research institutions, we offer the analysis of the fuel properties of solid fuels. This includes determining the elemental composition as well as the fuel-related and physical-mechanical properties. Based on the analysis results, we will be pleased to advise you on the extent to which the fuel quality of the materials examined can influence thermochemical and pollutant-forming processes and help determine the possible uses for the resulting residues (ashes). In compliance with environmental law and emissions control regulations, we will be pleased to advise you whether, and to what extent, the use of the fuels is suitable for thermal conversion.
