Geothermal energy
We are developing the coaxial borehole heat exchanger system BD-Koax for geothermal cooling of industrial processes in order to dissipate low-temperature waste heat in a climate-friendly way and store it for later use. The probes are used for heating and cooling and have lengths of up to 100 m and inner diameters of approx. 150 mm. The costs for a probe are in the range of a conventional U-probe, but with a far better heat transfer and storage capacity. This is particularly advantageous for combined heating and cooling systems.
